Hundreds of people safeguarded since launch of South West crackdown on drugs

Operation Scorpion continues to deliver results across the South West.

Since 2022, Police and Crime Commissioners and police forces from across the South West have worked together to make the region a hostile environment for drug crime. The joint approach has led to more than 1,580 arrests, £3 million worth of drugs seized and 1,380 vulnerable people safeguarded.

In Wiltshire alone, officers have made 311 arrests, seized £684,900 worth of drugs and safeguarded 114 people.
